Wild Blueberries are a superfood. They contain even more antioxidants and the already amazing blueberry. Blueberries have become really popular with blueberry farms dotted around the countryside to supply people with highly nutritious fruit.
Antioxidants are very important for our body. We generate free radicals, (the baddies), atoms that roam around in our body creating havoc as they try to steal electrons to match up with. These free radicals are killed off or neutralized by antioxidants, (the goodies). An excess of free radicals in our body causes ill health. We get more antioxidants in our body from the food we eat. It is important to eat the right food that contains them. Many foods, like junk food, do not contain many or any antioxidants. Fresh fruit and vegetables contain lots of antioxidants along with vitamins and minerals and other nutrients.

Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity of ORAC, is a laboratory test to find out how many antioxidants foods contain. It tests the total antioxidant capacity.
