Smoking around Hospitals
Recently I went to visit at the hospital. Right outside the Respiratory unit (admittedly on the street but the Unit was just inside the doors) stood a man smoking.
On other occasions I have visited the hospital and had to walk past people standing smoking or worse still, through a group of people who were smoking.
Some of these people were patients and others hospital workers.
Now there is one thing that makes me cough and wheeze and that is smoke.
Why should I be subjected to this outside a hospital?
I am calling for smoke free zones not only in hospitals but within a certain distance around hospitals or the doors of hospitals.
I am also calling for enforcement of this.
'We tried' is just not good enough!
Please use this sign
My proposal is that some people will take this sign, have it made up and erected around all doorways in public places including hospitals and schools. People tend to obey signs. Will they obey this sign?
Please let me know if you have any success with this.
