Neurofeedback for ADD, ADHD, epilepsy, anxiety and traumatic brain injury
Neurofeedback is a sophisticated biofeedback and is very versatile for many illnesses.
The American Academy of Pediatrics have recognised it as effective as medications for ADD and ADHD. It rarely has side effects. It is a form of brain training. It has also been approved for some kinds of epilepsy and helps with anxiety, post traumatic stress conditions, learning disorders, brain injuries, migraines and autistic sensitivities.
When neurons fire by the millions, they create brain waves which are measurable. Calm focused waves are Beta waves. Sleeping waves are Theta waves.
At NASA, the astronauts were getting epilepsy from exposure to the rocket fuel. NASA found increased awareness that can lead to neural changes and neurodifferentiation.
Barry Sherman found that we could train ourselves to prevent epilepsy.
Neurofeedback is like Feldenkrais.
Fisher Wallace Stimulator comes from Russian technology. It is about to be approved by the FDA for insomnia, depression and anxiety. It is used in Russia instead of sleeping pills. They induce sleep using a frequency 5-25 Hz.
