Grapes are allowed of the FODMAPs diet
What is FODMAPs?
FODMAPs is a way of eating that can eliminate problem foods from your diet.
Dr Sue Shepherd, a nutritionist, has found that some carbohydrates can affect people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She has found that they have an intolerance to some of these carbohydrates.
There are five groups of these carbohydrates. You may be lucky and be intolerant to only one of these. If you avoid the carbohydrate group that you are intolerant to you may eliminate uncomfortable wind and pain in the bowel.
Allergies and Intolerances
Allergies and Intolerances are different but they can both make you feel pretty bad. An allergy is much more severe than an intolerance. Many people have intolerances to things and call it an allergy. So it is easy to get mixed up with the definitions.
Worth trying? Sure! It's so easy. You just have to be aware of what you eat. There is still plenty of food to eat even if you are intolerant to the five groups of carbohydrates.
When you avoid your problems foods you may have lots more energy and also LOSE WEIGHT. Now wouldn't that be worth it?
Identifying an intolerance to certain carbohydrates and avoiding food that include these can help you lose weight easily while still eating plenty of other good food.
Lots more energy
